NETFLIX ON BROADWAY: STRANGER THINGS
I joined Pinch during the RFP phase to pitch an experiential concept for Netflix's Stranger Things: The First Shadow — their first Broadway production and the Olivier award-winning prequel to the series. Our pitch: bring the Stranger Things magic from the stage into the lobby and out to the street.
The goal was to transform NYC's Marquis Theatre into an immersive experience that pulls guests into the Stranger Things universe before they reach their seats. At the center: a full-scale replica of the Creel House. We designed a haunting Victorian-era entry with intricate moulding, stained glass, antique frames, and carefully layered textures and lighting.
I was responsible for initial concept ideation (in partnership with the ECD & spatial designer), RFP design, graphic and mood approach, communication design, all environmental graphic applications, and on-site installation oversight (in partnership with Salt).
